  • Lada Sloan, MD

    Throughout her career, Dr. Sloan has dedicated herself to primary care services, community volunteer projects and the enhancement of public health education. She enjoys helping her patients maintain their highest levels of physical and memory functioning as they age so they can live as independently as possible.  Dr. Sloan earned her medical degree with first-class honors from Mahidol University, Siriraj Hospital in Thailand. After medical school, she completed internships at Potharam Hospital and Mahidol University Siriraj Hospital where she studied immunology.

    When Dr. Vishal Burra talks about his work in medicine, “doctor” may not be the first word he uses to describe his job. “I’m an advocate for patients,” he says. “I’m driven to serve them in ways that ensure their well-being—their physical, mental and emotional health—and free them from suffering. Time spent listening, visiting and developing a trustful relationship with my patients is of utmost priority, and it’s one of my strengths.”

  • Eva Beaulieu, MD

    Dr. Eva Beaulieu's upbringing gives new meaning to Internal Medicine and primary care. Since age six, she knew she wanted to be like her parents—her father, a radiologist, and her mother, a family practitioner. "I enjoy what I do tremendously," she says. "I like knowing that I can impact someone's life by helping them stay healthy or simply making them feel better. Seniors are the ones who need the most help. They can have lots of obstacles in their way, from having too many doctors and not enough communication about their health, to lack of transportation to their visits. I’m very patient, compassionate and empathetic. And I’m here to help seniors with their concerns and make them feel comfortable."

  • Anastasia Thomas, DPM

    DPM

    Dr. Anastasia Thomas knows that staying independent and keeping up an active life requires good foot health, and caring for feet is her specialty. "The ability to help seniors in a caring, compassionate way is rewarding to me," says Dr. Thomas. "I will always go the extra mile to provide them with excellent care. I especially like helping them prevent problems and improve their quality of life through proper foot care. Each patient is unique. I focus on providing hands-on treatment as well as involving the patient in their care. We work together to achieve the best outcome." Dr. Thomas specializes in all areas of podiatric medicine, including diabetic foot and wound care and basic foot and ankle treatment. She is certified in forefoot surgery and podiatric medicine with the ability to perform elective forefoot surgery and treat emergency bone and soft tissue infections. As an undergraduate, Dr. Thomas attended Cornell University in Ithaca, NY where she earned a degree in Africana Studies and completed all prerequisites in pre-med. After graduating, she was accepted into the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City where she earned her doctorate. Following her intensive coursework, Dr. Thomas completed two residencies in New York. She trained in podiatric surgery and medicine at St. Vincent's Catholic Medical Centers in Queens/Brooklyn, and in foot and ankle trauma, diabetic limb salvage, biomechanics, and podiatric surgery and medicine at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn. She is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association, and a diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. She is board certified in both podiatric medicine and surgery. Dr. Thomas and her husband have two children and a family pet—a Doberman named Cha Cha. In her free time, she enjoys reading, bowling and watching her son play baseball and basketball.

  • Abhay Deshmukh, MD

    Dr. Abhay Deshmukh’s medical practice is based on three things he values most: honesty, integrity and compassion. “It’s what all patients deserve,” says Dr. Deshmukh. “I want my patients to know that I’m here to help them in their time of need. My goal is to help them achieve physical, mental and spiritual health. Although I enjoy caring for people of all ages, I get a special joy and satisfaction from caring for seniors.”

  • Jonathan Flacker, MD, AGSF

    Dr. Jonathan Flacker specializes in internal medicine and geriatric medicine. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Geriatrics Society. He enjoys working with the senior population the most and his favorite part of being a doctor is learning about the patients he cares for. “I have heard wonderful stories about people and their experiences,” said Dr. Flacker. “Understanding what their lives have been like is the first step to helping them be healthier.”

  • Prakash Ettigi, MD

    MD

    Board certified in psychiatry and neurology, Dr. Prakash Ettigi has been treating psychiatric patients for almost 40 years. He earned his medical degree from Kanrantaka University in Hubli, India and received his training in psychiatry at McGill University in Montreal, Canada after completing a rotating internship at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, New York. Dr. Ettigi earned his master’s in neuroscience from the University of Toronto. He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Society of NeuroPsychopharmacology and the Psychiatric Society of Virginia. “I believe I have given some patients a reason to live and hope for better things in their lives,” said Dr. Ettigi. “I’ve helped some of them keep their jobs and become responsible, caring people for their family and friends.” Dr. Ettigi and his wife have three children. When he is not working, he enjoys reading, watching television and movies, and traveling. Dr. Ettigi is fluent in English, Hindi and Kannada.

  • Sapan Amin, DPM, DABPM

    Dr. Sapan Amin has wanted to help people as a physician since he was in middle school—when he volunteered with the American Red Cross for hurricane disaster relief. He chose the path of a board-certified podiatrist after seeing close family members struggle with foot ailments and doing what he could for them as a child. “It’s rewarding to help today’s seniors live better by providing solutions for their foot ailments. I also love to learn about their lives; it often helps me uncover solutions.” When Dr. Amin isn’t building bonds with patients or keeping up with advances in podiatry, he likes to spend time with his wife. He also enjoys being outdoors, gardening, and traveling. Dr. Amin’s favorite trip so far was to Kenya, Africa.

  • Arash Taheri

    MD

    Dr. Arash Taheri is a board-certified internal medicine physician who’s been passionate about caring for patients since he was in high school. With more than 20 years of experience, he says, “I truly care about my patients and helping them improve their health. I especially love working with seniors because I feel I can make a bigger difference.” The ultimate reward for Dr. Taheri is seeing his patients live a longer, more active life with better quality. In addition to his primary care focus, Dr. Taheri specializes in dermatology and wound care. When he’s not with patients, Dr. Taheri enjoys keeping up with the latest medical research, spending time with his wife and two kids, photography, hiking, and playing tennis.

  • Richard N. Baney Jr.

    MD, MBA

    Dr. Richard N. Baney Jr. has always been fascinated in science and human physiology. He explains, “it was the human interaction and the doctor-patient relationship that really made me choose becoming a physician.” Dr. Baney loves hearing stories from the seniors at JenCare Medical Center and strives to get his patients engaged in their care. He has particular interest in behavioral health, rheumatology, and wellness. To stay up to date in the field, Dr. Baney subscribes to various journals and e-newsletters. When not with patients, Dr. Baney enjoys cooking, spending time with his wife and kids, and participating in outdoor activities, such as rowing and running. Dr. Baney hopes to one day travel to Canada.

  • Kyle Walsh

    Kyle Walsh loves “helping patients rediscover their bodies’ healing potential on their way to reclaiming healthy and active lives” as an acupuncturist. He says it is an honor to work with the senior population and strives to reduce pain. He enjoys getting to know his patients and strives to “set clear expectations” on how they’ll proceed. Kyle Walsh explains that commitment is very important in the success of acupuncture. “Acupuncture is a therapy that sometimes requires months of treatment before significant changes are realized by the patient,” he says. In his free time, Kyle Walsh loves hiking with his wife and kids. He has also practiced tai chi for years and loves sharing dad jokes with his patients.

  • Noel Battle

    MD

    Dr. Noel Battle knew at a young age that he wanted to pursue a career in the medical field. “I saw the care provided to my maternal grandmother by her physicians and nurses, and I knew that I wanted to go into healthcare,” he says. His favorite part of being a physician is “building relationships with patients, their families, colleagues, and staff.” Dr. Battle establishes these strong connections with patients “by listening and treating them the way they would want to be treated.” He has been practicing medicine for over twenty and is always seeking opportunities to continue learning. In his free time, Dr. Battles loves exercising and watching sports. He also loves dancing and has been a salsa dancer for twenty years.

  • Tolulope Adeyemo

    MD

    Dr. Tolulope Adeyemo’s love for healthcare started in high school, when he volunteered within a hospital system, and it’s only grown in his experience as a board-certified family physician. “While I address my patients’ medical needs, I try to educate and empower them, too,” says Dr. Adeyemo. “It’s rewarding to see their improved health and help them make the most of life.” The wisdom and stories that seniors share are an added bonus for him. When Dr. Adeyemo is not with patients or keeping up with research, he likes to spend time with his family, try different foods and sports, put things together, and travel. His favorite place to visit is the Dominican Republic, although he would love to visit Greece one day.

  • LaToya Beauchamp

    APRN, MSN, FNP-BC

    LaToya Beauchamp is a family nurse practitioner who has always wanted to work in medicine. She finds it rewarding to help others improve their health. “There is great excitement in empowering a patient to make better health decisions,” she says. LaToya Beauchamp believes that all healthcare should include “transparency and compassion embedded in the dialogue between providers and patients.” She adds, “My priority during each interaction is to display genuine concern, respect, and uninterrupted attention.”  When not caring for patients, LaToya Beauchamp loves spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys listening to podcasts, walking near the water, and refurbishing thrifted furniture.

  • Vera Lafosse

    At only five years old, Dr. Vera Lafosse, who is a first generation Haitian American, noticed the lack of healthcare in Haiti and vowed to become a doctor. “I believe that it is truly a calling from God to serve others and be privileged to care for the underserved. I am blessed to be called,” she explains. She loves partnering with patients. “I want my patients to feel that they are not alone,” she says. She aims to treat patients like family and caters her care to treat each patient’s specific needs. She especially loves advocating for and empowering her senior patients. In her free time, Dr. Lafosse enjoys playing golf, baking, and learning about other cultures. She also loves spending time with family and friends.

  • Brian Earley

    DO

    Dr. Brian Earley is appreciative of the time he can spend communicating with people as a physician. “I really enjoy the relationships I have with my patients. I love hearing patients’ stories and the lives they have lived,” he says. He especially loves caring for his senior patients. “I don’t feel that seniors in today’s society get the attention they deserve and want to do what I can to change this,” he says. He emphasizes the importance of primary care and believes in focusing on disease prevention. In his free time, Dr. Earley can be found going to the movies or listening to live music with his family. He also enjoys playing pickleball, disc-golf, and tennis.

  • Paulina Cruz Venegas

    Dr. Paulina Cruz Venegas, who specializes in diabetes and hypertension, knew early in life that she wanted to pursue a career in medicine. “I love being able to make a positive difference in a patient’s life,” she says. She finds it incredibly important to learn about her patients beyond their health concerns to “put things in perspective.” She especially enjoys caring for the senior population and helping them achieve “a better quality of life.” If she could change anything about healthcare today, she would increase accessibility. When not caring for patients, Dr. Venegas can be found spending time with her husband. They especially love watching soccer, hiking, and trying new restaurants in Atlanta.
