A native of Caracas, Venezuela, Galit Balayla Rosemberg, M.D., earned her medical degree from the Central University of Venezuela and completed her Internal Medicine residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Mount Sinai West/Morningside in New York. She went on to earn a fellowship in Infectious Disease, which included a Transplant Infectious Disease Track from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Balayla Rosemberg has a special interest in fungal infections in transplant patients and the intersection between HIV and organ transplantation, as well as antibiotic stewardship. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America and American Society of Transplantation. In her spare time, Dr. Balayla Rosemberg enjoys trying new restaurants and places, traveling, hiking, and just being outdoors. Dr. Balayla Rosemberg welcomes new patients and accepts most major insurance plans.
