We Are Moving! Come see our new location on Old Alabama Road in Roswell on November 18th. Rising Spirit was founded in 1994 by Drs. Bruce and Martha Costello, and was originally known as the New Life Institute School of Massage Excellence. Drs. Costello felt that there was a growing demand for a quality Massage Therapy school in Atlanta that offered more than the traditional massage program. In January 2001, the name was changed to reflect the expanding vision the founders had for the school. In June 2006, Rising Spirit went through another transformation with the acquisition of Rising Spirit by Gwinnett College, and Michael Davis was named President. We are excited by the expansion of our student body as well as the different options available to our students as well as those of Gwinnett College. We see this as a giant leap forward for Metro-Atlantans, as it creates many new educational and career opportunities.

Student Massage Clinic

The Lilburn, Sandy Springs, and Raleigh campuses have massage clinics in which students in the Massage Therapy programs, under the supervision of a licensed massage therapist, perform massages for the general public. This is a great way to save money and get a great massage, at the same time you are assisting our students gain valuable hands-on experience. We accept cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. 1-hour massage – $40 90-minute massage – $55 2-hour massage – $70 It’s tough sometimes to carve out an hour for a massage, but if you have never had a 90-minute or 2-hour massage, you should definitely give it a shot. Although they are still in the process of completing their massage courses, students providing the massages in our clinics have completed their course work in muskuloskeletal anatomy & physiology and Swedish/Deep Tissue massage. While honing their massage skills in the clinic, students are studying neuromuscular therapy, advanced topics in anatomy, physiology, and pathology, and other techniques in massage. Do not delay.
